Blur

Has Christmas and New Year left you feeling a little blurry?

Have you over-indulged?  Are you feeling dizzy?  Is it all a bit much?

Just focus on one blob.  Choose your favourite colour.

No one needs anything else from you right now.  Just enjoy your blur.

Do you like that magenta and orange combo middle-top?  Or maybe the turquoise-yellow Venn diagram?  Don’t worry.  It doesn’t mean anything.

Are you feeling blue?  It’s only natural when all the excitement is over.  Which blue is yours?  Do you like it with green or purple?

Oh, now.  Isn’t that pretty?

You see that pink and vermillion haze?  That’s my planet.

Don’t try to do too much today.  Let’s ease slowly into 2019.  In fact, how about we all ease off on each other in 2019?  Let’s enjoy the blurry edges; the things we have in common, rather than the things that divide us?

We’re all a little light shining.  We brighten, we fade, we come back again.  When we put our lights together and mix it up a bit, life is more interesting.

Happy New Year to you and yours! I choose green, though if I look at these too long I’m in danger of feeling much woozier than ever I did last night.
